Emergency and High-risk pregnancies
Should your pregnancy be complicated, Dr Baloyi will explain the need for any necessary tests such as blood tests and specialised ultrasounds. He will adjust your treatment plan to see you more often. He will also discuss the best method and time for your baby’s delivery. Dr Baloyi is skilled in managing complicated pregnancies, such as mothers with hypertension, diabetes, cardiac disease, collagen vascular disorders, haematological disorders, fibroids and intrauterine growth restriction. He also screens and manages preterm labour and the premature rupture of membranes, and treats critically ill expectant mothers.
Multiple pregnancies
A twin pregnancy can be an extraordinary journey, and Dr Baloyi will ensure that you have the right support and guidance. If you need extra appointments or ultrasounds, he will talk through everything with you. Also, as delivery of a twin pregnancy can be more challenging, Dr Baloyi will guide and reassure you with his expertise.
Normal pregnancy
Between 8-9 and 30 weeks gestation, Dr Baloyi will see you every three weeks. Between 30 and 37 weeks, he will see you every two weeks, and beyond 37 weeks, he will see you every week until delivery. Dr Baloyi will share and discuss ultrasound findings and arrange your blood tests (booking blood tests, glucose tests and a full blood count in the 3rd trimester).
